Michelle D

I’d love to share how I began my journey with the Empowered Women’s Project. My name is Michelle, I married my high school sweetheart and I am a mumma of 3. I was always a dreamer from a very young age. Growing up in America, I dreamed of Australia and knew I would travel there one day. Fast forward to high school where I met my Aussie hubby. When we met I knew he was THE one. We traveled extensively and lived in 3 countries, which we planned to do. When we dreamed of having a family our goal was to chase 2 summers, one in each hemisphere to take us back and forth to family, wherever we might be living.

When we moved to Australia after we had our youngest child we committed to visiting the USA every year—it didn’t happen. I was a full time stay at home mom, I had become sad, depressed and to be honest I had lost myself. I felt powerless to make a significant financial contribution to our travel fund and hated the idea of going to work so someone else could care for my kids so I could earn minimum wage. Six years in to living in Australia I hit a real low in my health, flu, walking pneumonia and depression had me basically bed ridden for weeks at a time. I was following all the healthy protocols I knew but nothing had worked.

When a friend shared her online health program I was definitely interested to learn more. The program and products were totally instrumental in getting me back on my feet and fighting fit. When my friend invited me to join her in the mission to inspire healthy living with her I declined, I didn’t think I could create success. Less than a week later, call it mental clarity or divine intuition, I asked myself, “what if this could get us home to see my family?” I decided I’d give it my all and forge ahead as I was so aligned with their mission, and to help other stay at home moms find their mojo, and create some financial independence.

I’m beyond proud to say 11 months into the business I not only got to attend an amazing conference for our industry in Las Vegas with three of my partners in business...but my whole family came with me to spend the most incredible magic moments with their grand parents, cousins, great grandparents and experience skiing in Colorado and heading to their first NBA game. This opportunity has helped me create more “pinch me” moments and I only wish I knew about this when I first started having babies. This has given me the chance to live a connected life with my family, giving me purpose, while earning a residual income and allowing us to dream again as a family!
